I've now put more miles on this Cavalier than the GTI lasted in the same time frame, AMA.

I’ve now put almost 7,000 miles on the Z24, and the GTI lasted 6800. Here is the grime and wear of an 83k mile daily driven Cavalier.

I definitely need to clean it out, but I try to keep my interior as clean as possible. Yellow hides a lot.

How’s the driving experience at that mileage? Any shakes/rattles or pretty solid?

Super solid, tracks very straight until the tires catch a groove, but that’s just part of having wide tires. It feels much more solid than my FiST did at 20k miles. There are a couple of rattles, but less than my GTI and FiST had. Granted there is a lot less car. The only slop is the shifter, but everything I've read has pointed to that being as-new.

Sounds like the exact opposite of the yellow on my Dads BRZ which shows literally everything.

Mud shows up, but from a distance, it’s pretty not noticeable. The whole side of the car is coated in a black layer of brake dust.

Planning on a short shifter? I haven’t driven a T56 with the stock shifter so idk how it feels like...

At some point. It’s not *horrible* but it is pretty long. It’s better than a new GTI, a tractor, and an  Aveo , but that isn’t saying a whole lot.

Hehe...I really like the shorty in mine. Its a bit too stiff when the trans is cold but it is quite direct once everything warms up.

Which shifter, and did BeaterZ(or whoever installed it)  do the anti-venom shifter mod?

Its a MGW shifter. I’m not sure if it has the anti-venom mod. Im guessing it does not since it is quite notchy.

I’m sort of looking out for a used MGW to pop-up. Either that or Hinson.

I’m waiting for some 19x11 wheels to pop up, stupid Bridgestone makes the largest RE71 285 section in 18"

If I remember correctly, I think it does have the mod done.

Well depending on if there is one washer there or not, you can add another one. I think the MGW is definitely a lot stiffer though.

Yup, thats what I’ve read. I like it as it is tho, the 1st-2nd shift is pure magic! It doesnt quite hook in 1st but 2nd is just manic.

They are one of my favorite factory wheels of all time, and they have been for longer than I’ve wanted a Corvette. I just need to buy a beater set of wheels to have those refinished.
